Alagna-Indren Skyrace
Alagna, the village made famous by hosting the first sky running race, is situated on the Italian side of the Alps, south of Zermatt, Switzerland. Leaving the village at 1192m, expect demanding uphill sections, exposed areas and steep pastures on your way up to the Bocchetta delle Pisse at 2396m. Scree slopes, snow fields and possibly severe weather conditions will challenge you on your way up to the summit at the Indren cable car station, at 3260m. The return is by the same route. A high level of physical preparation and knowledge of the risks of the terrain are required. The ability to manage sudden weather changes is also essential.
