Gams Trail
Kitzbühel is a small Alpine town 100 km east of Innsbruck, in the western Austrian province of Tyrol. It’s a fashionable winter resort, known for the annual Hahnenkamm downhill race. Upmarket shops and cafes line the streets of its medieval center.
The premiere edition of the Gamstrail was in 2018 and it now has four demanding, scenic routes are on offer. Short and sweet is the motto for the mountain runners tackling the 5km which starts and finishes at the Kitzbüheler Hornbahnen. Those who have not had enough can also enjoy the flowy trails of the 22km over the Bichlalm or the demanding 35km over the Wildalm in Aurach, both ending in Kitzbühel.
