Shadow of the Giants 50K
Starts at 5000ft, max elevation just over 6000. Mostly shaded trails and scenic…. bear sightings the last 3 years… no deaths. Scenic historic trails through the Sierra National Forest. The 50k run takes you past 3000 year old Giant Sequoias in the famous Nelder Grove. The brand new 20k run course takes you on many of the same trails as the gorgeous 50k course. Elevation is 5,000 – 6,500 ft. Time limit for 50k: 8 hours. Pets are not allowed on the trail, so please leave your doggies at home!
