The Grand-Daddy of all the Human Potential Running Series Races, The Silverheels 100. Put on your dancing shoes and bring everything you’ve got in you to tackle this monster of a 100 miler. A true mountain hundred with long climbs and descents, spanning the Colorado High Country, Silverheels will challenge you in ways Colorado hundreds should. Our large out-and-back course sends runners to abandoned gold mines, over a high mountain ridge at two locations all while traversing singletrack trails and ATV roads at an average elevation of 11,000’. Finish the Silverheels 100 and receive the coveted Silverheels Buckle!
The Silverheels 100-Mile Endurance Run takes place at an average elevation of 10,823’, and is one of the most visually stunning 100-Mile Ultras in North America. The course features a mixture of single track trails and fire roads, with a few stretches of dirt road; it takes runners through high alpine and sub-alpine meadows loaded with wild flowers, with expansive views of the South Park Valley and beneath the towering “Decalibron” 14er’s. You’ll run through ghost towns, past abandoned mines, awe at the wildflowers in full bloom, and dance under the watchful eye of Silverheels Mountain herself and the ever stunning Milky Way Galaxy. The person who finishes this race, will not be the same person who started it. Finishers celebrate the journey, memories, and achy hips with the coveted Silverheels Buckle!
