Just south of Bourg-St-Maurice the Vanoise national park, this double vertical kilometer course begins in the village of Villaroger at 1220m elevation. Starting in forest, runners rise up to a rocky landscape and cross the Glacier du Varet to reach the summit of the Aiguille Rouge at 3220m. Many aim to complete the vertical 2km in less than two hours. There is also a single VK race.
