Trail de la Rosière
La Rosière ski resort is located in the Vanoise national park in the French Alps, south of Chamonix. Amazing panoramas, superb sunsets, technical trails and local traditions are all part of this race.
The 40km ‘Trail of Your Dreams’ starts by crossing a ridge overlooking the Petit Saint Bernard Pass – the boarder with Italy – with Mont Blanc as a backdrop. After this comes some demanding climbs, fast flowing rivers, single track, forest paths, lakes, and the Refuge d’Archeboc. The time to beat was set by Nathan Jovet in 2017: 4h50. Although there is no prize money, you are likely to come away with bigger calves at least! There are also less demanding, shorter length races which could be a better option for some to discover La Rosière and surrounding mountains.
